Fall Bucket List

After a long, hot summer, there is nothing better than enjoying the crisp fall air. Now that it’s (finally!) enjoyable to be outside for extended periods of time, you’re probably on the lookout for fall-inspired activities. From apple picking to hiking, there’s no shortage of opportunities to take part in this fall.

If you’re looking for the perfect fall bucket list, look no further. Here are our top picks for fall must-dos:

Go Apple Picking

There’s nothing better than biting into a sweet, tree-ripened apple that you picked yourself. Most local fruit farms will also feature fun activities like corn mazes, so it’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon with friends and family.

After visiting the orchard, try your hand at baking some apple-based desserts! Perfect your apple pie recipe, or try your hand at making cider–whatever you choose is sure to be delicious! Bonus points if you give a fresh pie as a gift to one of your neighbors.

Eat (And Drink) Everything Pumpkin

If you could pick one food item that encompasses the fall season, it would most likely be pumpkin. From the ever-popular pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks, to roasted pumpkin seeds, to pumpkin pie, there’s pumpkin rendition of nearly every dish.

At most food and beverage locations, pumpkin flavored items are seasonal. This means that you should take every opportunity to get your pumpkin fix before your favorites disappear until next year! What’s your favorite way to eat pumpkin?

Attend a Football Game

Regardless of if it’s high school or college, football games are a quintessential part of the fall season. If you live near your alma mater, take a walk down memory lane and attend one of their games. The cool, crisp evening air makes going to a football game the perfect fall evening for the whole family.

Many schools offer pre-planned tailgates for the general public, or at the very least, space allotted for tailgating. This is a great way to meet some new people or even see some old friends again. If you can’t find any tailgates open to the public, host your own!

Visit a Haunted House

With Halloween right around the corner, fall is the perfect time to go on a spooky adventure. Visiting a haunted house is the ideal place to go to see just what it takes to give you a good scare. Some attractions are general admission, while others give private tours. It’s almost like being the star of your own horror film!

Most haunted house attractions have various themes, different scare levels, and many other customizable aspects so that you have the most enjoyable time possible. Be warned, though, that even with special precautions, these events might not be ideal for young children.

Fall is a wonderful season full of many exciting activities. What’s on your fall bucket list?
